Woman Being Free

Amanda Patterson, LCSW

Hi, I am a licensed clinical social worker, working with individuals from adolescence into seniority.  I seek to provide a comfortable, welcoming space for clients to work through life's challenges, both large and small.  Together, we will devote our time to cultivating growth, self-awareness and building upon existing strengths.  We all have the ability to change, grow, and heal.  My goal is to help clients discover and recover authentic solutions to their unique challenges.  In our work together, you may find that the solutions are already there -- I just encourage bringing them to light.

I have assisted many clients who have struggled with mental health concerns, complicated by medical challenges, including dementia, MS. ALS, HIV, cancers, and stroke.  I have also gained invaluable experience working with adolescents as a former high school English Language Arts English teacher, both locally and overseas.  The experiences have helped cultivate unique skills rooted in cross-cultural awareness.  My practice respects all persons and is LGBTQ affirmative.

For those inclined, my practice also offers pet therapy through Hope, as ASPCA credentialed dog, who loves meeting new people!  Animals in therapy can help to put even those with high anxiety to feel at ease.  If you would like to have Hope present when we meet, please simply ask!

I look forward to meeting you!
